Made by the Italian company LABORATORIO DI ARGENTERIA ARNO FASSI S.R.L. This company was assigned the registration mark “48” on April 23, 1935 in the province of Milan and is still in business today. This two-piece serving dish is crafted of 800 grade silver and the barcelet shape indicates this piece was made between 1944 and 1968. Both pieces are marked with the silver grade “800,” and the Italian mandated barcelet 48/MI which denotes the manufacturers registration number and the province of origin. The manufacturer also included his own mark of a crested shield encircled in an octagon.
